The Hilltown Triple Crown wound down in Altamont on Saturday, Aug. 25 as 137 people ran the 5K course and 11 walked.

Leading from the start: Berne-Knox-Westerlo teacher and varsity cross-country and track coach, Chris Miedema, heads up the hill from the Bozenkill Park onto Gun Club Road. Miedema, in the 20-to-29 age group, won with a time of 16:03. He had placed first in the Voorheesville 5K and second in the Berne 5K.

Making a clean sweep: Grace Skultety of Delmar, 14, won for women in the Altamont 5K with a time 20:38. She had been the first female to cross the finish line in Voorheesville and Berne, too, and took the triple crown.
