The Guilderland Girls Varsity tennis team is off to a powerful start to the season by winning the Oneida Invitational and two suburban council wins.

Good start to the season: The Guilderland girls’ tennis team traveled to Oneida for the 2017 Oneida Invitational. The group of 19 girls led by Head Coach Deb O’Brien, left, won the title. The Dutch is a young team but has a 2-0 record.

Now serving, like her shirt says: Guilderland’s Shika Britkari hits a serve toward Troy’s Jenna Stewart on Tuesday afternoon at home. Britkari won in straight sets: 6-0, 6-1. The Dutch played at Albany on Wednesday morning and won, 8 to 1.
