It was the final leg of the 2017 Hilltown Triple Crown that ended in Altamont on August 26th.

Running with precious cargo: Jon Fremante, from Lake Placid, runs with his two kids at the start of the Altamont 5K. Fremante finished in 71st with a time of 27:02. A free concert after the race at Bozenkill Park celebrated its 20th year.

Barely breaking a sweat: Chuck Terry, from Albany, cruises to an easy Altamont 5K win last Saturday at Bozenkill Park in Altamont. Terry’s time was 16:49 as he was seven seconds ahead of the second-place runner, Chris Miedema.

Running with ease: Courtney (née Tedeschi) Miedema, from Berne, cruised to her fourth Altamont 5K win Saturday as the first female to finish. Miedema, a former Berne-Knox-Westerlo student, ran with her husband, Chris Miedema, a teacher and coach at BKW. Courtney Miedema finished in sixth place overall with a time of 18:57; her husband finished second with a time of 16:56.
