Photos: Bablin Makes History As Hilltown Triple Crown Wraps Up

On Saturday, Aug. 22, 177 runners competed in the last leg of the Hilltown Triple Crown at the Bozenkill Park in Altamont for the Altamont 5K.

Leading the way: Andrew Hughes (507), 15 of Cobleskill and Nathaniel Lindh (516), 16 of Delanson are the first two up the hill as they head out of the park as the other runners follow behind. Hughes finished 4th with a time of 19:09 and Lindh finished second with a time of 17:59.

Good tunes: Weston Wagner, 10 of Berlin with his ear buds in listens to his music as he starts the Altamont 5K on Saturday. Wagner finished 26th with a time of 25:13.

Final kick: Chuck Terry, 43 of Albany stares at the finish line as he sprints towards it to claim the overall male Hilltown Triple crown. Terry won with a time of 17:31.

Making history: Emily Bablin, 25 of Altamont races towards the finish line as she sweeps the Hilltown Triple Crown by winning the Altamont 5K. Bablin won with a time of 20:49.

Fighting till the finish: Mackenzie Weston (568), 41 of Schenectady and Erik Carman (483), 36 of Albany gasp for air as they make that final push towards the finish line. Weston finished 10th with a time of 21:25 and Carman finished in 11th with a time of 21:27.

I’m gonna get ya: Matthew Hughes (509), 10 of Cobleskill tries to make a late charge in an attempt to pass Piper Weddell, 16 of Selkirk as they approach the finish line. Hughes finished 18th with a time of 23:00 and Weddell in 17th with a time of 22:59.
