Former Voorheesville resident and 2010 Clayton A. Bouton graduate Alexis Moore in January won the Vogue Knitting Live New York City Design contest. She took home the grand prize for her “Gown on Fire” design, which “captured the beauty and movement of the Rowan Kidsilk Haze yarn,” according to her mother, April Richardson-Moore. Alexis was taught to knit by her sister, Rachel, who had been taught by former Voorheesville Public Library staff member Phyllis Rosenblum.
