It was the second leg of the Hilltown triple crown on Saturday August 17 at Clayton A. Bouton high school for the Voorheesville 5K.

The middle jewel: Eighty-eight runners — ranging in age from 12 to 83 — race in the heat and humidity from the start of the second leg of the Hilltown Triple Crown at Clayton A. Bouton High School on Saturday morning for the Voorheesville 5K. The first race was in Berne on Aug. 3; the final race is in Altamont on Aug. 24.

Making it a breeze: Ross Wightman, 23, from Chatham makes it look easy as he wins the Voorheesville 5K on Saturday morning. Wightman’s time was 16:40, more than 24 seconds before the second runner crossed the finish line.

Winning back-to-back: Berne’s Michelle Puzulis, 15, was the first female to cross the finish line in Voorheesville just as she had been in Berne. She finished on Saturday with a time of 22:26.
