Amanda Tilley and Michael Kilcher enjoy a respite at a picnic table Tuesday at the Altamont Fair, the same day that Senator George Amedore announced he secured a $60,000 grant to upgrade the Grove. Over five years, areas around the stage will be resurfaced to make it easier for wheelchairs and strollers to maneuver, accessible picnic tables will be purchased, wheelchair charging stations will be installed, the food court will be improved, and amphitheater seating will be added along with green space and lighting.
