Despite temperatures in the 90s and amid a backdrop of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Mohawk Hudson Land Conservancy hosted its annual Hike-a-thon event with a twist. The weekend of July 18, more than 530 Capital Region residents spent time searching the conservancy's 19 preserves for hidden gnomes. Those sending selfies with the gnomes were rewarded with ice cream from the event sponsor, Stewart’s Shops.`
