Dawn Standing Woman waves a wand of burning sage to bring positive spirits into the new Iroquois-inspired longhouse at the Heldeberg Workshop on Thursday evening, July 14. The structure, supported by 24 locust posts set 18 inches into the ground, was built by workshop board members and friends to replace the longhouse built in 1992. “Mitakuyeoyasin,” meaning “all my relations,” Standing Woman said as she blessed the new longhouse.
