The sign is “to commemorate the community spirit of inclusivity in our village,” said Emaline Johnson, Alexa’s sister.

Leading the way: Alexa Johnson is the first person to sign the “Altamont Cares” sign on Friday morning. The Guilderland High School seniors who made the sign are asking all the residents of the village to stop on by Orsini Park to sign the board.
