Photos: The Witch's Hat Returns to Voorheesville

Raising the roof: Clarence’s crane service is at work on Friday putting the witch’s hat on the new pavilion at the start of the Albany County Helderberg Hudson Rail Trail. The pavilion is shaped to resemble the train station that once stood in Voorheesville close to where the pavilion will greet hikers and cyclists, at the corner of Grove and Main streets.

Making sure it lines up right, construction workers pull or tug the roof frames Friday. The project is being financed by the village of Voorheesville and the Voorheesville Community and School Foundation, which is accepting donations at its website.
