Pitching a dominant game: Voorheesville’s Ryan Daly throws during the early innings. Daly pitched a complete game, giving up three hits and striking out eight with no walks in the Blackbirds 4-to-0 win last Thursday but then lost in the Class B semifinal, 4 to 3, to Coxsackie-Athens on Saturday. Daly had two hits on three at-bats and had a run batted in.

Trying to avoid the tag: Guilderland’s Cameron Myers, in the fifth inning, flies into home plate but gets tagged out by the Shen catcher. Myers had three hits on four at-bats for the Dutch. Starting pitcher Nick Bruno went six innings giving up four runs, two of them earned on eight hits while striking out six and walking only two.
