Guilderland High School hosted three different sectional games all in one day —outdoor track and both boys and girls lacrosse. So whatever you wanted to watch, you could see it on Tuesday afternoon.

Winning sectional titles was on the minds of the Dutch outdoor track team. Easily clearing the bar, Guilderland’s Isabella Bruno competed in the Section 2 high jump event. Bruno won the event with a height of 5 feet 3 inches and she also finished second in the long and triple jumps.

Making a splash: Guilderland’s Erin Miceli, left, and Alexis Anagnostopolos compete in the 2000-meter steeplechase. Miceli finished in 8 th place with a time of 7:48.85 and Anagnostopolos finished in 9 th with a time of 7:51.85. Guilderland boys finished in fourth with 57.33 points and the girls finished in third with 76 points.

Up and over: Guilderland’s Amanda Rice clears the hurdles in the first event in the pentathlon event at the Section 2 championships at Guilderland High School on Tuesday afternoon. Rice finished third in the hurdles with a time of 18.16 seconds and finished third in the pentathlon with 2,399 points.

It was business as usual for the Guilderland girls’ lacrosse team in the Class A sectional semifinal. The Dutch led from the opening whistle to the final buzzer. Determined to score, Dutch forward Amanda Nieman gets past Saratoga’s Elizabeth McGinn and puts the ball in the back of the net. Nieman scored three goals in the 18-to-8 win.

Rushing ahead: Guilderland’s Kerry Gerety takes the ball into the offensive zone in the first half. Gerety led the Dutch with six goals. The Dutch will play Shenendehowa for the Class A title at Mohonasen High School at 4 p.m. The boys’ team won against CBA and will play Friday at Shen.
