On a chilly and windy last Thursday, the Berne-Knox-Westerlo Bulldogs baseball team took on Fonda-Fultonville at home in a Western Athletic Conference battle. The Bulldogs had a lead going into the fifth inning, which saw the Braves come all the way back and win, 11 to 10.

Releasing his curveball toward the plate in the first inning, Larsen went four and two-thirds innings, giving up seven runs, none earned, on eight hits with one walk and strikeout.

Making the play in the field: Bulldogs’ Pat Meehan after fielding the grounder throws toward first base in the third inning. Meehan went two for four at the plate with four RBIs, scoring one run and a stolen base.

Getting a bat on the ball: BKW’s Tristen Keyes lays the barrel of his bat to the ball in the home half of the third inning. Keyes had one hit in four at bats and had a RBI in the loss.

Sliding in safely: BKW’s Brad Ableman hustles home and beats the throw from the outfield as a teammate tells him to slide. Ableman had two hits in three at bats, scored three runs and a stolen base.
