Remember, it's the law to come to a complete stop for school buses with red flashing lights as Guilderland Police Department and Guilderland School District Transportation set up the annual reminder at the corner of Western Avenue and State Route 155 in Guilderland to stress to drivers to stop.

Operation Safe Stop: Officials — from left, Guilderland Police Officer Todd Roberts, part of the Traffic Safety Unit; Michael Gannon, assistant transportation supervisor for the Guilderland School District; Danielle Poirier, the district’s transportation supervisor; and Sergeant Carl Duda with the Guilderland Police — gathered at the corner of routes 20 and 155 in Guilderland on Wednesday to publicize their push to make motorists realize it’s the law to stop for school buses that have their lights flashing. The sign, at center, overhead, says "Stop for stopped school buses."
