Salute: State Senator Neil Breslin reaches out to give a Farnsworth Middle School seventh-grader in Susan Stevens’s class a high five last Friday after she asked why he wouldn’t run for president. He said he was too old. (Breslin is 75.) The kids peppered Breslin with questions on a wide range of topics, including the death penalty and mixed martial arts — both of which he said he was against — as well as gun control, Governor Andrew Cuomo, sunset laws, LGBTQ rights, and legalizing marijuana.
