“I received the nicest Easter surprise when my good friends Kathy Burbank and Steve Wacksman showed up on my sidewalk,” says Cindy Wadach, the now-retired director of Guilderland Senior Services. “Kathy was dressed in a garbage bag so she could give me a hug, but first I covered myself with a blanket to be extra safe. Since this hug was the first human touch I’ve had in over a month, it brought tears of joy to my eyes. It was one of the nicest things anyone ever did for me.”
