Photos: Dutch Sweep Team Titles At Frigid Cup

On Sunday, April 12, the Guilderland outdoor track team held its annual Frigid Cup invitational at Guilderland High School. Both the boys’ and girls’ teams took home the titles with the boys scoring 161 points and the girls scoring 221 points.

Mullen finished 4th with a time of 13.28 seconds, McCarthy in 2nd with a time of 12.90 seconds, Watson in 5th with a time of 13.46 seconds, and Burnett in 8th with a time of 13.65 seconds.

Going down neck and neck: Guilderland’s Courtney Russell battles Glens Falls’ Darrell Perry and Coxsackie-Athens’ Dontrez Smith race down the track in their 100-meter heat. Russell finished 3rd with a time of 11.57 seconds.

Battle to the finish: Guilderland’s Jack Larson (3) and Brian Igweike (5) race down the track with Columbia’s Garrett George as they compete in their 100-meter heat. Larson won with a time of 11.25 seconds and Igweike came in 6th with a time of 11.61 seconds.

Beyer finished 4th with a time of 4:54.77, Davis in 5th with a time of 5:00.28, Cornell in 7th with a time of 5:06.30, and Kosier in 6th with a time of 5:05.02.

Staying close: Guilderland’s Levi Hawrylchak runs in the lead pack as he competes in his 1600-meters. Hawrylchak finished 35th with a time of 5:32.86.

All in line: Guilderland’s Joe Kosier (1), Colin Davis (3) and John Wang (8) run in the mix between a Maple Hill and Schenectady runner as they complete a lap in the 1600-meters. Kosier finished 2nd with a time of 4:34.28, Davis in 3rd with a time of 4:38.69 and Wang in 7th with a time of 4:44.64.

Conga line: Guilderland’s Evan Schlelcher (12) and Conor O’Grady (14) and other runners run along the inside part of the track during their 1600-meter run. Schlelcher finished 9th with a time of 4:49.44 and O’Grady in 17th with a time of 4:59.
