Photos: Blackbirds Cross-Country Glides By Cobleskill-Richmondville

On Saturday April 10th the Voorheesville Blackbirds Girls and Boys Cross-Country team took to their course at Swift Town Park in Voorheesville against Cobleskill-Richmondville. The Blackbirds won easily, boys won 24 to Incomplete (only had 4 runners) and the girls won 15 to incomplete (only 4 runners as well). The girls dominated taking the first seven places.

Casual jog: Voorheesville’s Victoria Iacabucci runs up the hill at Swift Town Park in Voorheesville on Saturday against Cobleskill Richmondville. Iacabucci finished third with a time of 17:22.

Battle in the woods: Voorheesville’s Caelan Lamberton-Dunham, right, along with his teammate Connor Smith lead Cobleskill-Richmondville’s Charlie Foote as they head up the small hill inside the woods along the course at Swift Town Park on Saturday morning. Lamberton-Dunham finished second with a time of 14:48 and Smith finished third with a time of 15:00. The boys’ team won 24 to incomplete, as Cobleskill-Richmond only had four runners.

Pumping his arms: Voorheesville’s Nick Reilly powers himself up the hill on Saturday morning. Reilly finished fourth with a time of 16:40.

Gliding through the woods: Voorheesville’s Gryphon Homer gets up the hill with the sun in his face coming through the branches as he runs in the dual meet against Cobleskill-Richmondville on Saturday. Homer finished 10th with a time of 20:10.
