Making it look easy: Getting fouled and falling did not stop Guilderland’s Amanda Nieman, right, to get off a shot past the Patriot’s goalie, Taylor Rice. She scored. Nieman had two goals and Kadi Futia led the Dutch with four goals and one assist in the win.

Eyes on the ball: Guilderland’s Maya Banks reaches for the ball to get it away from her goal during the second half as John Jay applied pressure throughout the half.

Feeling the pain: Hayley Kmack rushes to the goal from a free position but John Jay defenders Cara O’Reilly (6) and Annie Conway (18) sandwich her in so she wasn’t able to get off a shot; no call was made. Kmack had an assist in the game.

Making it look easy: With ice water running through her veins, Dutch goaltender Alexa DiCaprio stops a point-blank shot from a John Jay forward as teammate Shea Thomson tries to stop the attacking player. DiCaprio had 10 saves.

Rushing away: Guilderland’s Christine Fish, with her three braids flying, sprints up the field against John Jay’s Tristen Novak. Many of the Dutch players wore three braids. Guilderland, with a 2-2 record, fell to Shenendehowa, 12 to 9, on Tuesday, and faces Shaker next.
