Photos: Sap Run 5K finally runs after a week delay
Originally the Sap Run 5K was supposed to run in Knox last Saturday but due to cold and brutal winds, the race finally ran the weekend of Maplefest in Knox and Berne on Saturday March 30.

Smooth sailing: Keith Machabee, from Delmar, runs up Route 156 in Berne with no other racers in sight as he heads toward the Sap Run 5K finish line. Machabee won with a time of 17:37, more than five minutes ahead of the second finisher.

Waving to the crowd: Victoria Wagner smiles as two of her competitors struggle toward the finish line in the Sap Run 5K that was pushed back a week due to brutal cold the week before. Wagner was the first female to finish and came in fourth overall with a time of 24:42.
