Despite the pandemic, The Guilderland Players are putting on their 52nd annual musical this weekend, “Little Women,” based on Louisa May Alcott’s classic novel. From left are the March sisters: Nicaya Rios as Meg, Carrington Elmore as Beth, Morgan Dempsey as Jo, and Caroline Jameson as Amy. The student costume crew created masks to harmonize with the period costumes. Tickets are available for the Thursday through Sunday performances at https://www.showtix4u.com/event-details/49244. The pre-recorded show will be streamed at 7 p.m. on March 25 through 27 and at 2 p.m. on March 28. “It’s been a challenge and it won’t look quite like a stage musical or a movie musical, but we’re grateful we’ve had the chance to do something after the disappointing cancellation of “Chicago” at the 11th hour,” said the show’s director, Guilderland High School teacher Andy Maycock, referring to the pandemic shutdown last March.
