Bowling pins were flying and bouncing off the side boards during the New York State Public High School Athletic Association bowling competition at Strike n’ Spare Lanes in Syracuse this past weekend. Guilderland sent two bowlers, Lauren Buess and Andrew Apollo, who competed in the composite division on Saturday.

Buess had a six-game series 1129, finishing 34th overall out of 74 bowlers. She helped her Section 2 team to a sixth-place finish out of 12 teams with 5004 total pins.

Apollo had a six-game series 1172, finishing 29th in the state out of 74 bowlers. He helped the Section 2 team finish seventh in the state out of 12 teams with 5972 total pins.
