Photos: Dutch Run Well And Break Records

On Saturday, March 4, the Guilderland indoor track team competed in the New York State Public High School Athletic Association’s indoor track championships held at Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex.

Breezing over: Guilderland’s Parker Steele clears the hurdle in her 55-meter hurdle time trial where she finished third. Steele finished 13th in the state with a time of 8.82 seconds.

Speed work: Guilderland’s Megan Swan sprints down her lane towards the finish line in her 55-meter dash time trial. Swan finished 13th with a time of 7.36 seconds.

Battling in the pack: Guilderland’s Aakash Iyer battles Oyster Bay’s Christopher Tardugno and Shenendehowa’s Jonathan Wolf in the first group of the boys’ 3200-meter run. Iyer finished 28th overall in the state with a time of 9:58.70.

Down the stretch they come: Guilderland’s Addison Vellekoop makes her final sprint coming down the frontstretch in the girls’ 1000-meter run as she attempts to pass Notre Dame Academy’s Katelyn Kliesch. Vellekoop finished 13th in the state with a time of 2:47.49.

Flying far: Guilderland’s Tatum Cramer leaps from the board as she competes in the long jump event. Cramer finished sixth in New York State and 7th in Federations with a distance of 17 feet, 5.50 inches.

Off on the right foot: Guilderland’s Tatum Cramer starts to run as her teammate Kendall Barnhart approaches for the third leg of the 4 by 200-meter relay. The relay team finished 2nd in the state and federation with a time of 1:42.39 which broke the Section 2 record, their own school record and one of three teams to break the state meet record.
