Photos: States Await for Three Dutch

On Sunday morning, Guilderland’s top indoor track athletes looked to punch their tickets to the state competition on Staten Island this Saturday. Isabella Bruno, Jordon Kimbrough, and Nick Soldevere qualified.

Ready to make his move: Guilderland's Nick Soldevere ran mid-pack in the beginning of the boys’ 1000-meter run. Later, he pulled ahead and won with a time of 2:35.95.

Spring in her step: Guilderland's Isabella Bruno leaps far in the girls’ triple jump, reaching 37 feet, 4 inches — the winning distance. She then won the long jump with a distance of 17 feet, 9.50 inches, and finished second in the high jump.

Best foot forward: Guilderland's Jordon Kimbrough leaps from the board in the boys’ triple jump, finishing in fourth with a distance of 43 feet, 9 inches.

Gliding over: Guilderland's Trinity Kenney clears the bar easily in the girls’ high jump at 4 feet, 10 inches. Kenney tied for fourth at a height of 5 feet even.

Fierce runner: Guilderland's Kate Scanlan has a determined look on her face as she runs the second leg of the girls’ 4-by-400-meter relay. The relay team finished third in the finals with a time of 4:19.10.

Up and over: Voorheesville’s Sophia Stampalia clears the first hurdle in the fifth heat of the 55-meter hurdle event on Sunday morning. Stampalia didn’t qualify for the finals and finished in 25th place with a time of 10.92 seconds.

Floating on air: Guilderland’s Tanner Makowski looks to jump at the height of 5 feet, 8 inches but misses as the bar, bottom left, falls to the floor. Makowski finished 12th with a clearing of 5 feet, 6 inches.

Best foot forward in the finals: Guilderland’s Molly DiCaprio clears the first hurdle, hoping to qualify for the state competition in the 55-meter hurdle event final. DiCaprio finished sixth with a time of 9.28 seconds and didn’t qualify for states.
