Photos: Winter Storm Harper blankets the Capital District

Last Saturday and Sunday, the Capital District saw Mother Nature dump a good foot of snow and some ice where it caused a State of Emergency on Sunday.

A lone pedestrian makes her way along Western Avenue on Sunday in the midst of Winter Storm Harper that left a foot of snow in Guilderland and was followed by icy winds on Sunday night. The usually busy thoroughfare was nearly devoid of traffic.

Higher than the windowsill: Kids scaled the mountain of snow at Presidential Estates for some fun after Winter Storm Harper had passed and the sun finally came out on Tuesday.
