On Saturday, Jan. 4, the Guilderland Nordic ski team traveled to North Creek Ski Bowl to compete in the Queensbury Invitational. It was a cold and windy day but the boys finished in third place with 32 points and the girls finished sixth with 80.

As light snow falls, Guilderland’s Aisling Trodden starts to tuck her poles as she heads down the hill. Trodden finished in 26th with a time of 25:47.2.

In a battle: Guilderland’s Ashley Kapusinsky climbs the hill in between two skiers during her second lap. Kapusinsky finished in 32nd with a time of 27:02.0.

Kicking up the snow: Guilderland’s Violet McCutcheon starts her climb up the hill as she and other skiers fling snow off their skis. McCutcheon finished 22nd with a time of 24:26.8.
