On Friday, the opening night of the Harold “PeP” Sand challenge at Colonie High School, the Dutch faced a familiar foe — Green Tech, which has bested Guilderland in the past at sectionals. Hoping for a basket, the Dutch’s Grant Mengel goes up strong against a Green Tech player. Mengel had a team-high 17 points in Guilderland’s 54-to-46 loss.

In a packed dog pound, the BKW boys’ team played Greenville in the 2017 Christmas tournament title game last Thursday at home. Going up easy for a basket, the Bulldogs’ Zeke Pulliam lays the ball up for two of his nine points. The Bullodgs pulled ahead near the end of a thrilling game only to suffer a close loss, 66 to 64.
