Photos: Bulldogs Tames on the Track

The Berne-Knox-Westerlo Bulldogs indoor track team, may be small, but the bite and heart are big. The Bulldogs took to the track at Hudson Valley Community College on Saturday morning in Troy. The girls’ team faced off against seven other schools — two of them large — and finished fifth with 34 points. The boys’ team competed against six other schools — three of them large — and finished sixth with 10 points.

Running fast: BKW's Michelle Puzulis was the standout. She takes off, at far right, from the starting line in the girls’ 1000-meter run. Puzulis led from start to finish, winning the race with a time of 3:30.7.

Staying with the competition: BKW's Brandon Bungay races along with an Albany runner in the 1600-meter run. Bungay finished fifth with a time of 6:01.6.

In the field events, Sean Motschmann competes in the triple jump. He finished eighth with a distance of 28 feet, 7 inches, and also finished eighth in the long jump with a distance of 13 feet, 6.75 inches.
