The big trucks will be rolling into Voorheesville for our “Build a Better World” Summer Reading Program! Does your child love big rigs of all shapes and sizes? Here's a chance to get up close and personal with the trucks, farm gear, construction equipment, police vehicles, fire engines, and other unique vehicles that work in our community.
Winterberry Farm, a fully operating sustainable farm located in Binghamton, will be bringing some of their animals to the Library! Spend time with a miniature horse, calf, sheep, goat, pig, Angora rabbit, peacock, turkey, chicken, duck, and quail along with others that decide to come along. Most of the farm’s animals are heritage breeds. An explanation of the history of the breed, how the animal benefits the farm, what products come from the animal, and general care and management will be provided. Kids can pet the animals and learn to handle them.
Carnival: Voorheesville Community PreSchool is holding a carnival open to the public to celebrate the preschool being open for 50 years. Games, bounce house, face painting, bubbles, balloons, hot dogs, beverages, and more. 12 to 3 p.m.
Mother’s Day. The Voorheesville American Legion Post 1493 is having a Mother’s Day breakfast from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. The menu includes: Eggs cooked to order, French Toast with fruit, bacon, sausage, home fries, toast, juice, coffee. Adults $8.00 Children $4.00 Flowers and free raffle for all moms.

Stories, rhymes, music and playtime for little ones newborn up to 24 months. The program includes our amazing age-appropriate toy collection. Babygarten gives parents and caregivers an opportunity to bring their babies to a program just for them. Join Miss Amy for songs, fingerplays and fun! Older siblings are welcome, but the program is geared for babies.
If Voorheesville Schools are closed or delayed by two hours, our morning children’s programs will be cancelled.
With a combination of traditional preschool storytime and lots of movement and participation games, your active toddler will learn through play as he/she starts the transition to becoming a "big kid." This program is appropriate for children ages 2-3 who have aged out of Babygarten, but are looking for a slightly more structured program that allows for their short attention spans and need for activity. Storytime will be followed by playtime.

Who doesn’t like a nice stack of steaming, buttery, syrupy pancakes on a cold winter morning? Come join the fun as we read pancake stories, participate in pancake themed activities, and, of course, eat pancakes. For children ages 3 - grade 2 and families. Please register.
