Santa will be visiting the neighborhoods within the coverage area of the Guilderland Fire Department on Sunday, Dec. 16. He and his elves will leave the fire house at 11 a.m. and plans to finish by 3 p.m. the truck will play very loud music, so that boys and girls can hear him coming. Please be on the lookout.

Capital Community Voices, directed by Julie Panke, will present a program of classical and popular holiday songs on Saturday, Dec. 15 at 7:30 pm at Genet Elementary School, Route 4, East Greenbush, NY.

The Albany Figure Skating Club will hold its annual Winter Ice Show at the Bethlehem YMCA (900 Delaware Ave., Delmar) on Saturday, Dec. 15 from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm. Victorian Holiday and Winter Market in Altamont from Noon to 5 p.m. At 5 p.m., Santa arrives on the train at the beautifully restored Victorian train station on Main Street with gifts and photo opportunities for kids.

New Salem Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary will be hosting its 11th annual Teddy Bear Tea with Mrs. Claus for boys and girls on Sunday, Dec. 9, with seating at 1 pm at the New Salem Fire Station at 694 New Salem Road in Voorheesville. This year’s Guest of Honor will be Santa Claus!!

The Grafton Trail Blazers Snowmobile Club and the NYS Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation will host a snowmobile safety course for young people ages 10 to 18. Students must be at least 10 years old on the day of the course. Parents are encouraged to attend and participate. The course will be held at the Grafton VFW/Fire Hall on South Road from 8:15 am to approximately 5 pm. The course will be taught by NYS certified volunteer instructor Jim Blessing.
