Due to the COVID-19 surge, Albany County has closed senior centers, community dining sites, and adult day programs located within the county to protect the older adults that we serve. We will keep you apprised of r-openings in this column.

Individuals who are experiencing food insecurities should contact Life Path administrative offices at 518-465-3322.

Anyone needing assistance with SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program) should call 518-447-7323.

For assistance with Medicare, call Sandy Martin at 518-447-7190.

Seniors can receive assistance from Albany County for HEAP (Home Energy Assistance Program) and other county programs by calling ACCESS NY Connection at 518-447-7177.

Veterans needing assistance with services, such as obtaining hearing aids, glasses, and general veteran services, should call Mike Green from the Albany County Veterans at 518-447-7710.

Catholic Charities Senior & Caregivers Support Services provides assistance to family caregivers during their journey of caring for older adult loved ones living at home. Services and information on respite options, counseling, support groups, next steps and much more are available. To receive assistance, call Catholic Charities at 518-372-5667, ext. 204.
