Seniors aged 60 and older are welcome to enjoy a nutritious lunch offered by the Helderberg Senior Services lunch program. Meals are offered Mondays, Tuesdays, and Fridays at the Town of Berne Community and Senior Services Center at 1360 Helderberg Trail in Berne.

Lunch is served from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Doors open at 11 a.m. Masks are no longer required to enter the building. A $3 donation is suggested.

You must call Karen Stark at 518-937-5963 by 10 a.m. the day before you plan on attending. She needs 24-hour advance notice to ensure enough meals are provided for everyone.

Menus provide choices each day:

— Friday, July 30: Beef and veggie stir fry over rice or baked fish with sweet potatoes — both choices come with carrots, applesauce, wheat bread, and applesauce cake. The third choice is a BLT pasta salad with chicken and V-8 juice;

— Monday, Aug. 2: Lemon-garlic baked fish or baked chicken, roasted potatoes, sautéed spinach, wheat bread, and brownie;

— Tuesday, Aug. 3: Roast pork with gravy or baked fish, mashed potatoes, green beans, wheat stuffing, and applesauce; and

— Fri.day Aug. 6: Chicken cacciatore or baked fish, broccoli, rice, wheat bread and peaches, or tuna salad sandwich with cucumber and tomato salad.
