The Helderberg Senior Services lunch program is back in business. Seniors aged 60 and older are welcome. Meals are offered three days each week — Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays — at the Town of Berne Community and Senior Services Center at 1360 Helderberg Trail in Berne.
Lunch is served from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Doors open at 11 a.m. Masks are required to enter the building. A $3 donation is suggested.
You must call Karen Stark at 518-937-5963 by 10 a.m. the day before you plan on attending. She needs 24-hour advance notice to ensure enough meals are provided for everyone.
Join us for a tasty, nutritious lunch. Menus provide choices each day:
— Friday, June 11: Roast pork or baked fish, sweet potatoes, peas and carrots, and applesauce, or ham-salad sandwich and chickpea salad;
— Monday, June 14: Chicken a la king or baked fish, egg noodles, carrots, applesauce ,and pound cake;
— Tuesday, June 15: Ham with pineapple or baked fish, spinach, corn bread, grape juice and tapioca pudding; and
— Friday, June 18: Beef and veggie stir fry or baked fish, carrots, applesauce, and applesauce cake, or BLT pasta salad and V-8 juice.
