American Red Cross blood drives

The American Red Cross Blood Services is holding these local drives in September:

— On Tuesday, Sept. 3 from noon to 6 p.m., at the University at Albany Indian Quad in the Oneida basement, 1400 Washington Ave., Albany;

— On Tuesday, Sept. 3 from noon to 6 p.m., at the University at Albany State Quad Anthony Hall in the basement lounge, 1400 Washington Ave., Albany;

— On Friday, Sept. 6, from 1 to 6 p.m., at Guilderland town hall in the town meeting hall, 5209 Western Ave., Guilderland;

— On Monday, Sept. 9, from 1 to 6 p.m., at the town of Bethlehem auditorium, 445 Delaware Ave., Delmar; and

— On Wednesday, Sept. 25, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., at the Berne-Knox-Westerlo High School in the school gym, 1738 Helderberg Trail, Berne.

  • NEW SCOTLAND — The First United Methodist Church of Voorheesville invites all to a free lunch on the second and fourth Tuesdays of each month.

    Meals are served from noon to 1 p.m., for eating in only. The church is located at 68 Maple Ave. in the village.

  • Online registration is now available for special Capitol suffrage tours celebrating the centennial of women winning the right to vote in New York State and for the annual Capitol Hauntings tours of the New York State Capitol.
