Mendelssohn Club holds auditions

DELMAR — The Mendelssohn Club of Albany will hold auditions in January for male singers interested in joining the club for the second half of its105th season.

The 65-voice male chorus is the longest continuously performing arts group in the area.

Tenors and basses are invited to rehearse with the club beginning on Wednesdays at 7:15 p.m. at the New Covenant Presbyterian Church, 916 Western Ave.

Prospective members are welcome to sing with the club during the first few rehearsals in January. Rehearsals are held every Wednesday, and final auditions will take place near the end of January.

The Mendelssohn Club will perform its traditional holiday concert on Friday, May 16, at The Egg in Albany. Other upcoming performances include the Tulip Festival in Albany on Saturday, May 10.
