From the War of 1812 to the inner world of Mars: Westerlo Library patrons can check out new nonfiction DVDs to learn about a wide variety of subjects.

Do you ever wonder where your donations of change go for Stewart’s Shops Holiday Match program?  The Westerlo Library received a grant in 2021 to expand our nonfiction DVD collection for educational enrichment. The library has educational DVDs for multiple age groups covering language arts, history, various sciences, and math. Come check them out!

Third Thursday

Book Club

The book club is reading “As Bright As Heaven” by Susan Meissner for the month of January. You can pick up a copy at the library. The discussion will be Jan. 20 at 6 p.m. in the library.

January Spice

STEAM ahead

January’s theme for STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art, math) take-and-makes is Winter Arts and Crafts. There are new kits every week. Homework-help packets are still available too.

Trustees to meet

The Westerlo Library Board of Trustees will meet on Monday, Jan. 10, at 7 p.m. in the library. This meeting is open to the public.

Holiday closings

The Westerlo Library will be closed on Dec. 31 and Jan. 1 in observance of New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day.
