Westerlo Library’s book club members are reading “Educated,” a memoir in which Tara Westover ecounts overcoming her survivalist Mormon family to go to college. The discussion will be on Nov. 18 at 6 p.m. in the library.

Medicare info

On Dec. 3 at 2:30 p.m., Senior Services of North America will give a presentation about Medicare and supplemental insurance options at the library. Bring your questions.

Spice take-and-make

The spice for November is allspice. Pick up a sample and three recipes at the library. The recipes are Apple Butter, Roasted Carrots with Allspice, and Grilled Jamaican Jerk Chicken.

November’s theme for STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art, math) take-and-makes is life science. There are new kits every week.
