Westerlo Library Notes for Wednesday, October 30, 2019

The story time for toddlers at the Westerlo Library has been rescheduled.

You are invited to a Family Story Time Picnic on Tuesday, Nov. 5, from 6 to 7 p.m. Bring along your favorite stuffed animal or blanket for a fun, fall, family story time in the Community Room.

We will have snacks. We can’t wait to see you there!

Lego Club

Do you like playing with Legos? How tall of a tower can you make? Can you design a secret hideaway for your favorite superhero?

Drop in on Monday afternoons from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. to play and create with Legos. Miss Lee is also available for homework help.

Memoir Writing Group

The Memoir Writing Group will meet Saturday, Nov. 9 at 11 a.m. This group provides its members a safe and supportive place to learn together.

Led by Lila Hollister Smith, the group is open to all who are interested in self-expression through the art of writing.  The group meets once a month on the second Saturday of each month and new members are welcome.

Board games and puzzles

Do you enjoy playing board games and putting together puzzles? The library has a selection of both for you to enjoy here in our Hannay Community room.

Enjoy a cup of coffee or tea while working on a puzzle. Come play a game or two with your friends. The community room is a great place to spend time together.

Technology Walk-In Wednesdays

Do you have a new smartphone or tablet, but don’t know how to download digital materials?  Need to brush up on your computer skills — or obtain basic skills? See Amy on Wednesdays between 10 a.m.and 1 p.m. for free, personalized, one-on-one instruction.

Trustees meet

The Westerlo Board of Library Trustees will meet on Monday, Nov. 11, at 7 p.m. in the Hannay Room at the library. This is an open public meeting.

Thank you!

Both the Helderberg Kiwanis Club and the Westerlo Public Library had donation boxes in the library during the month of October. Thank you to everyone in our community who donated to Coats for Kids and The Great Give Back. Your generosity is greatly appreciated!
