Westerlo Library Notes for Wednesday, September 7, 2022

Laura Tenney will be exhibiting her art quilts — like this one, titled "The Other Side of the Fence" — in the gallery space of the Hannay Community Room at the Westerlo Library in September and October. There will be a “Meet the Artist” reception at the library Sept. 9 from 5 to 7 p.m.

Story Time, Lego Club, and Homework Club are returning to the library in September. Starting Sept. 12, Lego Club will be from 3:30 to 5 p.m. on Mondays, Story Time will be at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesdays, and Homework Club and STEM (science, technology, engineering, math) activities will be on Thursdays from 3:30 to 5 p.m.

September Spice

Take-and-Make 

The spice for September is tarragon. Pick up a sample and three recipes to try something new. The recipes for September are Green Beans with Tarragon Vinaigrette, Tarragon Chicken Salad with Almonds, and Grilled Salmon with Tarragon Mustard Sauce.

Third Thursday

Book Club 

September’s book club meets Sept. 15. The book is “The Lost Apothecary” by Sarah Penner. Copies are available at the circulation desk. 

New StoryWalk 

The StoryWalk in the Town of Westerlo Veterans Memorial Park has changed. Now posted is “I Will Never Not Ever Eat a Tomato” by Lauren Child. Come take a walk and read a book! 

Trustees meet  

The Westerlo Library Board of Trustees will meet on Wednesday, Sept. 14, at 7 p.m. in the Hannay Community Room at the Library. This meeting is open to the public.
