Westerlo Library Notes for Wednesday, August 31, 2022

Laura Tenney last year stood with the barn quilt she donated to the Westerlo Library; she named the pattern “The Tree of Knowledge” in honor of the library. This year, in September and October, her art quilts will be displayed in the library’s gallery.

For the months of September and October, Laura Tenney will be exhibiting her art quilts in the gallery space of the Hannay Community Room at the Westerlo Library. There will be a “Meet the Artist” reception at the library Sept. 9 from 5 to 7 p.m. 

Coming in September! 

Story Time, Lego Club, and Homework Club are returning to the library in September. Starting Sept. 12, Lego Club will be from 3:30 to 5 p.m. on Mondays, Story Time will be at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesdays, and Homework Club and STEM (science, technology, engineering, math) activities will be on Thursdays from 3:30 to 5 p.m.

Book Club

September’s book club meets Sept. 15. The book is “The Lost Apothecary” by Sarah Penner. Copies are available at the circulation desk. 

New StoryWalk 

The StoryWalk in the Town of Westerlo Veterans Memorial Park has changed. Now posted is “I Will Never Not Ever Eat a Tomato” by Lauren Child. Come take a walk and read a book! 

Trustees meet

The Westerlo Library Board of Trustees will meet on Wednesday, Sept. 14, at 7 p.m. in the Hannay Community Room at the library. This meeting is open to the public.
