The Westerlo Library’s Oceans of Possibilities Summer Programs roll on.
On July 12, 19, and 26 at 10:30 a.m., there will be Messy Play in the Westerlo Town Park, followed by Coffee Connect for parents at 11:30 a.m.
On July 6, 13, 20, and 27 at 6 p.m., there will be STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art, math) activities. The July 6 and 13 activities are put on by the 4-H. See you at the Westerlo Town Park pavilion!
Third Thursday
Book Club
The Third Thursday Book Club will meet on July 21 at 6 p.m. to discuss “The Extraordinary Life of Sam Hell” by Robert Dugoni. Copies are available at the library.
Walk and
Book Talk
The Westerlo Library has a walking group. We meet at the library, Wednesdays at 9 a.m. . and Tuesdays at 6 p.m. All are welcome to walk! Bring a water bottle and book suggestions.
July Spice
Take-and-Make
The July spice is black pepper. Pick up a sample and three recipes at the library. This month’s recipes are Lemon Dill Orzo with Snap Peas, Black Pepper Cultured Butter Biscuits, and Black Pepper Beef Stir Fry.
STEAM ahead
July and August’s theme for STEAM take-and-makes is “Oceans of Possibilities” to go along with the summer programs. There are new kits every week.
Trustees meet
The Westerlo Library Board of Trustees meets on Monday, July 11, at 7 p.m. in the Hannay Community Room of the library. This meeting is open to the public.
