The Third Thursday Book Club will meet on July 21 at 6 p.m. to discuss “The Extraordinary Life of Sam Hell” by Robert Dugoni. Copies are available at the library.
Walk and Book Talk
The Westerlo Library has a Walking Group. We meet at the library on Wednesdays at 9 a.m. (starting June 22) and Tuesdays at 6 p.m. (starting June 28). All are welcome to walk! Bring a water bottle and book suggestions.
Summer programs
Coming in July: Summer Programs are coming soon. On July 12, 19, and 26 at 10:30 a.m., there will be Messy Play in the Westerlo Town Park, followed by Coffee Connect for parents at 11:30 a.m.
On July 6, 13, 20, and 27 at 6 p.m., there will be STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art, math) activities. July 6 and 13 activities are put on by the 4-H.

The library is delighted to announce Eleanor Patton is exhibiting her work in the Hannay Community Room Gallery Space. Eleanor, a resident of Westerlo, works in pastels, pencil, watercolors, and collages. Her exhibit will be displayed for the months of May and June.
The gallery space is open during regular library hours: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 2 to 7 p.m., Wednesday and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
StoryWalk is Back
Come see the Westerlo Public Library’s StoryWalk in the Westerlo Town Park. Walk in the park and read “Sheep in a Jeep” by Nancy Shaw.
June Spice
Take-and-Make
The June spice is lavender. Pick up a sample and three recipes at the library. This month’s recipes are Lavender Honey Iced Coffee, Homemade Fudgy Lavender Brownies, and Lemon Lavender Shortbread Cookie.
STEAM ahead
June’s theme for STEAM take-and-makes is “Nature.” There are new kits every week.
