Westerlo Library Notes for Thursday, June 21, 2018
Our 2018 Summer Reading Program at the Westerlo Public Library has begun. With the theme “Libraries Rock!” we will offer a range of activities for all ages that encourage us to grow, connect, and create with books, art and craft projects, science experiments, and special events.
Summer Fun
Build and create with Lego Club on Mondays 3 to 5 p.m.; Story Time on Wednesdays from 10 to 11 a.m., followed by a drop-in STEAM (science, technology, engineering art, and math) Lab from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.; and on Thursdays, Family Game Night is back from 5 to 7 p.m.
Stop in, sign up, and get our brochure of programs and special events planned for July and August. A full calendar of programs is also at the Summer Reading link on our website – www.westerlolibrary.org.
Hilltown Artists Exhibition
The library is hosting an exhibition of seventeen artists from Westerlo and neighboring towns through the end of June. Their works range from drawing to watercolor to sculpture, and highlight the creative talent that exists in our own backyard. Many of the works on display illustrate local scenes that will be familiar to visitors of the exhibit.
Technology Walk-In Wednesdays
Do you have a new smartphone or tablet, but don’t know how to download digital materials? Need to brush up on your computer skills — or obtain basic skills?
See Amy on Wednesdays between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. for free, personalized, one-on-one instruction.
