Westerlo Library Notes for Thursday, June 9, 2022
The Westerlo Library is delighted to announce Eleanor Patton is exhibiting her work in the Hannay Community Room Gallery Space. Eleanor, a resident of Westerlo, works in pastels, pencil, watercolors, and collages.
Her exhibit will be displayed for the months of May and June. The gallery space is open during regular library hours, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 2 to 7 p.m., and Wednesday and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Book Club
The book for June is “Yellow Bird: Oil, Murder and a Woman’s Search for Justice in Indian Country” by Sierra Crane Murdoch. Copies of the book are available at the circulation desk. Join the discussion on June 16 at 6 p.m. in the library.
StoryWalk is back
Come see the Westerlo Public Library’s StoryWalk in the Westerlo Town Park. Walk in the park and read “Sheep in a Jeep” by Nancy Shaw.
June Spice Take-and-Make
The June spice is lavender. Pick up a sample and three recipes at the library. This month’s recipes are Lavender Honey Iced Coffee, Homemade Fudgy Lavender Brownies, and Lemon Lavender Shortbread Cookie.
STEAM ahead
June’s theme for STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art, math) take-and-makes is “Nature” There are new kits every week.
Trustees meet
The Westerlo Library Board of Trustees will meet on Wednesday, June 15, at 7 p.m. in the Hannay Community Room at the Library. This meeting is open to the public.
