Westerlo Library Notes for Wednesday, May 25, 2022
The Westerlo Library is delighted to announce Eleanor Patton is exhibiting her work in the Hannay Community Room Gallery Space.
Eleanor, a resident of Westerlo, works in pastels, pencil, watercolors and collages. Her exhibit will be displayed for the months of May and June.
The gallery space is open during regular library hours, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 2 to 7 p.m., and Wednesday and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Book Club
The book for June is “Yellow Bird: Oil, Murder and a Woman’s Search for Justice in Indian Country” by Sierra Crane Murdoch. Copies of the book are available at the circulation desk. Join the discussion on June 16 at 6 p.m. in the library.
May Spice
Take-and-Make
The May spice is marjoram. Pick up a sample and three recipes at the library. This month’s recipes are Green Peas Soup without Meat, Turkish Chickpea Salad and Turkey Meatloaf. June’s spice sampler is Lavender. It will be available June 1.
STEAM ahead
May’s theme for STEAM(science, technology, engineering, art, math) take-and-makes is “Welcome Spring-Part 2!” There are new kits every week. Homework Help packets are still available too. If there are any topics you need help with, email or call the library at 518-797-3415
Memorial Day
weekend hours
The Westerlo Library will be open Saturday, May 28, as usual, and closed Monday, May 30 in observance of Memorial Day.
Trustees meet
The Westerlo Library Board of Trustees will meet on Wednesday, June 15, at 7 p.m. in the Hannay Community Room at the library. This meeting is open to the public.
