Westerlo Library Notes for Monday, March 10, 2014

The Westerlo Library has most of the federal tax forms, schedules, and instructions and we also have the basic New York State forms that we will copy for you at no cost.  Can’t find it?  Ask at the desk and we’ll help you locate the tax forms on the Internet.

Quilting group

The quilting group will meet this Saturday, March 8, at 11 a.m.  Led by Lila Hollister Smith, the group is open to all skill levels.  If you are interested in joining the group – new members are welcome! – attend a meeting on the second or fourth Saturday of the month.

Trustees meet

The board of library trustees will meet on Monday, March 10, at 7 p.m., at the library.  This meeting is open to the public.

Children’s program

Our Toddler preschool story time meets on Wednesday at 10 a.m.  Join Miss Lee for stories, songs, games and movement activities designed for children ages two to five years old.  In addition to developing pre-reading skills, singing, moving to music, and playing instruments all help foster a sense of rhythm and timing that are essential elements in developing the part of a child’s brain that shapes math skills.

Technology walk-in Wednesday

Do you need to brush up on your computer skills – or obtain basic skills?  See Amy on Wednesdays between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m., for free, personalized, one-on-one, hands-on instruction on how to work the mouse, navigate the Internet, set up an email account, use office automation programs, and more. If Wednesday mornings are not convenient, please contact us to schedule an appointment.
