Westerlo Library Notes for Wednesday, March 4, 2020
March is here and with it many programs that offer you the opportunity to express yourself, meet with others, learn something new, and have fun. Spring on into the library and check out our new books, DVDs and programs.
New Artists Exhibit
Welcome Cathy (LeFevre) Shuter and her beautiful photographs on display in the Hannay Community Room. “I have always been inspired by the beauty that exists all around us; but all too often, we don’t have or take time to appreciate it,” she said. The beauty that she has captured in her photography will be on display during March and April.

The group meets once a month on the second Saturday of each month and new members are welcome.

Fireside Book Club
Come join us for a brand new book club! Our first book will be “Elizabeth is Missing,” by Emma Healey. This book was selected because it is a mystery and has a woman who has dementia as its main character. Many of us care for people who have dementia or Alzheimer’s.
This book will give readers an opportunity to follow along as the mystery is solved and get to know Maude as she tries to remember and put the pieces together as to what happened to her childhood friend. This book club is sponsored by the Get Cozy at the Library grant from the Upper Hudson Library System.
Coffee Connect
The first Coffee Connect met on Saturday, Feb. 29. This group is for parents, guardians and caregivers of individuals who have challenges. We connect, support each other, and share experiences.
Despite snowy weather, we had a great turnout. Our next meeting will be on Saturday, March 28, from 10 to 11:30 a.m.
