Window into an artist’s evolution: Peter Keitel is displaying his artwork at the Westerlo Library this month and next.

The artist on exhibit for January and February is Peter Keitel of South Westerlo. Peter took up art upon retirement. He began with pencil drawing and continued to try several media.

This exhibit includes works set in chronological order that show an evolution of style from graphite pencil to watercolor, to pastel, and, finally, to acrylic paint. Peter has now settled on acrylics and is doing realistic paintings of common objects and scenes. He is experimenting with a photorealistic style of painting.
