Did you know that as a card-carrying patron of the Voorheesville Public Library, you have access to Consumer Reports online? You can access it from home anytime using your library card number. Just check out our website for the link and follow the instructions. You can research TV’s, phones, tablets, laptops, cameras and more.
Children’s holiday craft program
The holidays are a wonderful time to create homemade craft items to display as decorations or to give as gifts. Drop in at the library on Saturday, Dec. 14, from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., to make some delightful holiday-themed crafts. There will be a variety of crafts for different ages and abilities from age 4 through grade 4.
Join the Friends
The Friends of the Library support many important functions, including the summer reading program, summer concerts and the museum pass program. Joining the FOL is a wonderful way to become a library advocate and reinforce your commitment to the community. Contact the friends at to see when the next meeting is.

Every Other Thursday Night Poets
The EOTNP are always looking for new people to join in the fun. Stop by the library tonight, Dec. 12, at 6:30 p.m. and meet others who share your interest in poetry. For more information, contact Dennis Sullivan at 765-2468.
Humane Society donations
This holiday season the library is collecting donations for the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society. Through Tuesday, Dec. 31, bring in any pet related item (food, leash, treats, etc.). Artist of the Month
Don’t forget to stop in and enjoy our December artist of the month, Jean MacKay. MacKay has shared a wonderful array of watercolor sketches and paintings that are beautifully detailed. Stop in, have a cup of coffee and stroll the gallery at your leisure.
We also have the most spectacular snowman display this month, thanks to Marlene Vunk. Please don’t miss out on these two truly wonderful collections!
Afternoon movies
Take a break from holiday shopping and stop by the library on Thursday afternoons to enjoy a classic movie in our community room. Movies titles can be seen on our events calendar or bookworm, or just stop in to pick up a monthly schedule. Movies start promptly at 1:30 p.m.
